Sophie & Bronson: A Love Story With a Little Altitude

Sophie and Bronson had known of each other for years. They ran in the same circles, had mutual friends, and were even in the same YSA ward during college. But for four whole years? Just friendly fly-bys. No sparks. No dates. No drama.
Then came January 2024.
Sophie sat next to Bronson in church one Sunday and very confidently announced her goals for the year:
That they would become better friends, and
That he (a pilot!) would take her on a flight.
Simple, right?
Well… not quite. Sophie sat by Bronson every Sunday for the next four months. And still? No flight. No date. Just pew-sharing.
Fast forward to their final semester before graduation, when fate (and a mutual friend) stepped in. This friend called Sophie in a full-on matchmaking panic, practically begging her to go on a date with Bronson. Sophie, who had been dreaming of that promised flight for months, didn’t need much convincing.

Their first date? A charming little burger joint called Hermie’s, followed by Bronson’s big moment—a private flight over Cedar City. Sophie was in awe. Bronson got to show off his wings. It was magical. They ended the night chatting in her parking lot for over an hour. Sophie waited for Bronson to walk her to the door. Bronson? He was too busy freaking out that a real girl was in his car.
And yet... something clicked.
Sophie felt prompted to reach out. Again. And again. Slowly but surely, they started seeing each other more and more.
Then came the Vegas trip. Bronson invited Sophie to see Blink-182 with his family and spend a weekend at the ranch. The two of them had a blast, came back at 3 AM on July 4th, and—on her doorstep—shared their first kiss.
That weekend, Sophie met the whole family and visited the same mountain she’d gone to for family reunions as a kid. When someone asked if they were “boyfriend and girlfriend,” the answer was still no. But a few days later, sitting in Bronson’s car, he brought it up:

“You know that question my family asked? Well… do you want to? Because I’d like to.”
Sophie: “Okay, but that was the worst way to ask. Try again.”
So, Bronson did what any reasonable man would do—he made a PowerPoint presentation. In front of a room full of Sophie’s roommates (who were screaming) and her entire group of coworkers, he made his case.
It worked.
They dated for a year, knowing pretty early on that this was it.
They even went ring shopping together—but Sophie had no clue Bronson had already bought the ring. So when they went out to dinner one evening and Bronson got a “call” from his dad saying an uncle had left the water running at the ranch, she didn’t suspect a thing.
They drove up to the ranch—the same place where their love had grown—and waiting for them was a blanket, flowers, candles, and a very nervous Bronson.
He proposed right then and there.
Sophie was in total shock (and total joy). But before she could even fully process what just happened, Bronson pulled out another PowerPoint:

“Why Sophie Should Marry Bronson.”
Reader, she said yes.
And now? The adventure continues. We’re over the moon to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Let’s party!
