We’re looking to expand our team with a talented intern who is excited about the wedding industry and eager to contribute to our marketing efforts. As we work towards systematizing our workflows, we value fresh perspectives and are open to feedback to continuously improve our processes.
Internship Role and Responsibilities:
As a Marketing Intern, you will be immersed in various aspects of digital marketing, providing you with valuable hands-on experience. Your responsibilities will include:
Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging and on-brand content for social media platforms, including Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
Writing: Contribute to blog posts and email marketing campaigns with compelling, SEO-optimized content.
Social Media Planning: Help plan and schedule social media content using Planoly, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
Market Research: Conduct research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and new opportunities.
Cross-Promotion: Support cross-promotional strategies across platforms like Pinterest and TikTok to enhance brand visibility.
Project Management: Utilize Asana to manage weekly projects and track progress toward completion.
Meeting Participation: Attend meetings as required and collaborate with the team both remotely or in our Rexburg studio.
Skills and Qualifications:
Hard Skills:
Proficiency in graphic design, Photoshop, and basic online research tools.
Basic knowledge of photography, videography, and video editing.
Experience with SEO research and data analysis.
An understanding of fundamental wedding aesthetics and trends.
Soft Skills:
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
Creative and innovative mindset with a keen eye for trending content.
Ability to take direction well and maintain a positive, drama-free attitude.
Punctual, reliable, and proactive in learning and growing.
Confidence on screen for potential video content creation.
Passionate about the wedding industry.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
While prior experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design is preferred, it is not required.
Education Requirements:
This internship is designed for students enrolled in the Communications Department at BYU Idaho.

Logistics and Compensation:
Duration: September through December, with a total of 150 hours required to complete the internship.
Time Commitment: 2 - 12 hours per week, depending on project completion. Weekly task projects will be provided, with flexibility in hours if tasks are completed early.
Work Environment: Hybrid remote, with some content creation tasks completed in our Rexburg studio. Remote interns will receive necessary equipment and suites.
Compensation: Unpaid, but eligible for internship credit through BYU Idaho.

Company Culture and Work Environment:
We are a small, dynamic team looking to grow and expand. There’s plenty of work to be done, allowing you to explore various aspects of digital marketing and discover your passion areas, from content creation to community building.
You will report to the Marketing Director but work independently on many projects, providing a balanced mix of mentorship and autonomy.
You’ll receive weekly feedback and produce biweekly marketing reports to track the performance of content across platforms, helping refine our marketing strategies.
